Sales of our calibrated plates has been very high. Currently we have zero stock of 25 kg plates, so we cannot make sets, but do have some of the smaller sizes on hand. Please go to the page that lists the individual sizes to order.
The next shipment will be Early November. Any sets ordered from this page will be PRE-ORDERS for that timeframe.
Powerlifting contests are always done using the metric size plates, yet most commercial gyms use "pound" plates that are usually low quality, meaning inaccurate weights. When you are training for a contest, you want to know that your training weights are EXACTLY what you want them to be, not plus or minus.... anything!
StrongArm plates are not on the IPF approved list (not yet at least), but only because we did not want to pay the enormous fees the IPF wants for this. They ARE made to IPF specifications for calibrated weight, dimensions and colors. So while you cannot use them for competition in CPU contests, they are perfectly acceptable in the warmup room at CPU meets, or in other feds, and home or commercial gyms. You can be assured they are every bit as precise and accurate as the plates you will see on the contest platform. You are just paying considerably less for them!
We've had our plates tested and certified as correct weight, see this page for more information and documentation of the testing. All sets include as many 25 kg's as you select, and a pair each of 20, 15, 10, 5, 2.5 and 1.25 kg plates.
Our online system is not the most sophisticated, and almost always over prices the shipping. Please use our Contact page to enquire about shipping. Include your full address, and how much weight you need.

Well made plates
We weighed them too
Overall I do like the plates. The issue I have is that about half of the brass plugs cannot screw in flush and at least 2 of them are cross-threaded - ie. one side is quite proud of the surface and the other side is level. Dealing with the brass plugs not being flush is simple - a wire brush to remove the paint from the threads. However, the instances in which the plugs have been cross-threaded, there is really no solution. That’s the part that is disappointing. I was considering getting Rogue or Eleiko, but Brandon Campbell suggested that the StrongArm product was similar in quality and at a much better price point. I didn’t realize until after I ordered the plates that the manufacturer of these StrongArm plates had changed after Brandon had made that suggestion.
A few people have reported this issue with the calibration plugs John. Thank you for taking care of it yourself. We have made our concerns known to the manufacturers and they have assured us it will be corrected on the next shipment.
Delivery condition of packaging looked new, and all plates were in perfect condition. Used them for about 2 months now, and the only paint missing is from where the bar touches the plates. Colours are all vibrant with zero discolouration. Price is probably the best you'll get for calibrated plates within Canada. Definitely recommend this product if you're a powerlifter looking to stay on budget, but have as close to comp spec equipment in your training. Also, my fiancee enjoys using them as well in her normal training, and she doesn't even powerlift.
Since you are using new manufacturer, can you have them tested too? for accuracy. Would like to buy a power bar and set in the future. Thank you. Kindly test all the way down to the chip plates (0.25 kg / 250 grams)
Buyer beware. StrongArm has a new plate manufacture and honestly I’m happy with the overall quality of the plate EXCEPT the calibration screws and 7 plates aren’t flush and one was broken and loose in the box.
I’m more disappointed in the lack of pride in the company and the poor customer service. Obviously I will never support @strongarmsport again.
Full disclosure I was refunded $20 per 7 plates that were affected the worst.
An apology would have stopped me from posting this.
Then please accept that apology here Bryan. As I said in our messages, this was the first shipment from the new manufacturer, and as with many 'first time' things there are always a few glitches.
Blame it on the pandemic, the old maker would normally take 2 or 3 months to make our orders. Since Covid hit, this tripled. They still owe us some plates that we ordered last July, it could be this July before they get here. An entire year, intolerable. So we had to find a new supplier.
Yes, there are a few minor issues, mostly around the paint, and we have already contacted the makers about it, we are sure they will get it right for the next load.
So again, blame it on the pandemic that the first order with them had to be close to 3000 plates when we used to buy 600 or 700 at a time, and it lasted us 3 months, We pushed them very hard, as has been so common over the past year.
