There are many types of neutral grip bars out there now. All have their purposes. This one is an OG design, which I find to be more versatile. Since your hand is at the same level as the weight, there is no rolling of the bar when doing various accessory work (eg, hammer curl). There’s no knurling on the handles but the powder coat is textured and provides enough grip, particularly if you use chalk. One possible issue is the sleeves are a touch bigger than a regular barbell so if you have tight fitting plates or collars, there might be some friction. My plates and collars do work fine though. The sleeves do not rotate and they are also powder coated, which will be marked up over time. I gave it a 5 Star review, though, because this review is in the context of the price. There are more bougie offerings out there if you wanna dig deeper in your pocket. But, if you want a design that is tried and tested at a good price, this is it. Satisfied customer here.
