Eleiko of Sweden makes many wonderful products. One of these is a standup plate rack. The largest plates are standing in the rack at waist height, so no bending down to pick them up. Smaller plates go on posts for easy access. 

It's a great product, seen at all World Championships. It sells for over $1100 in Canada!

We thought we could reproduce it, and make it even better, and do it for much less.

  • We added a shelf for a brush, bleach and so on.
  • 5 posts for small plates and collars.
  • Sturdy wheels for easy mobility, even fully loaded. (not shown on the diagram)
  • Bolted together rather than welded. Shipping disassembled means lower shipping costs.

Excellent quality and value

Purchased 2 “dish racks” from Mike. All parts included and the casters are high quality, usually where costs are cut. The welds are good and ground fairly well, much better than pretty ‘hot snot’ welds with no penetration. The centre shelf weighs more than most amazon racks. If you want a flawless piece of furniture, spend the $1,500 on an IPF brand. This will work well for decades.

Nice Rack

It’s not a back rack.
Plenty of space.
Castors roll really well.
Really solid tree for the amount of weight it will hold.
Lots of compliments.

Cons.
Instructions are vague for inexperienced to put it together.
Kilo plates will chip because of how the weights roll into the slot and will bag up against the metal. I plan on adding some small foam padding to try to fix this.
